Thiemen Ocket and Basil Dermaux join Volley Menen

Thiemen Ocket, 20 year old from Wingene, comes over from Caruur Gent. He will be the successor of Kobe Brems, who is making the opposite move after three years of Menen. Thiemen started playing volleyball at Tievolley Tielt and then went to the Topsportschool in Vilvoorde for six years.

For the past two years he was the duplication of club monument Tim Degruyter at Ghent. In the won cup final in the Sportpaleis, he contributed from the serving line at the end of February. At Volley Menen, the Young Dragon is given the opportunity to grow under the wings of Frank Depestele.

The 19 year old Basil Dermaux comes over from Knack Roeselare, and replaces Maxim Libert. Dermaux is currently working as a main attacker with the Young Dragons (U20) at the European qualifying tournament in Croatia. For the industrial engineer student, the transfer to Menen is his introduction to the highest level.
