Thiaw nominated for Germany: Bella-Kotchap is injured

The German national team has to reschedule the defense in the upcoming international matches. Armel Bella-Kotchap (21) is out against Peru (03/25) and Belgium (03/28). Former Schalke player Malick Thiaw (21, AC Milan) will replace the Southampton professional in central defence, as the DFB confirmed on Sunday.

Bella-Kotchap sustained a shoulder injury in Saturday’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur. Thiaw was originally nominated for the Under-21 squad that plays Japan and Romania ahead of the EURO this summer. For the native of Düsseldorf it is the premiere in the senior national team.
