A father, through Christian Lawyers, files legal action against the teacher and the center for the distribution of a comic with “sexual images”
A father, through the Christian Lawyers Foundation, has denounced a high school teacher in the Mallorcan town of Porreres for a crime of distribution of pornographic material among minors. Thus, together with one of the affected parents, the Foundation has announced legal measures before the Court of First Instance and Instruction of Palma for what they consider “ideological indoctrination” through a comic distributed by the institute and the teacher.
The comic in question, titled ‘Blue is a warm coloris of French origin and the recommended reading age ranges from 12 to 15 years. As expressed by the spokesman for Christian Lawyers, the comic continues to be used in the classroom, so they are also going to present precautionary measures to request the suspension of said material.
“It’s a crime defined in article 186 of the penal code, which contemplates penalties of up to one year in prison. An act of denunciation in which he has also been present Alex Sosa, father of a 13 year old girl who has read the comic in the Spanish subject: “My daughter came home from school one day and said that they had been forced to read a comic containing sexual images and pornographic. I opened the book and my heart fell, what they are reading is pornography”. Likewise, the parent has defended that there are several families in the center who share his concern: “They have been totally upset, surprised. Our daughters are 13 years old and they are forced to read this out loud, it is very serious.
LGTBI Educational Law
Regarding the response offered by the center and the teacher, they point to the educational laws related to the LGTBI collective. “The The co-education coordinator has said that LGTBI laws oblige them to distribute this material. On the other hand, from the Ministry of Education they have assured that the Educational Inspection will meet with the center and check if the book complies with current regulations.
