This is evident from a tour by ANP. For the time being, only Alkmaar, Beverwijk, Zandvoort and Amsterdam are actively working on regulations regarding fat bikes.

This is how you can go in Amsterdam from May 11 no longer riding a fat bike through the Vondelpark. In Alkmaar and Zandvoort, the focus is now mainly on enforcement against souped-up fat bikes.

Heemstede, Blaricum and Laren are considering stricter rules or even a ban. In Beverwijk they are also looking at a ban, but that still has to be voted on in the municipal council.

In twenty places in North Holland, there are currently no plans to introduce a ban on fat bikes in the municipality. The other municipalities did not respond to questions from ANP.
