Every year, the animal hospital of the animal ambulance in The Hague and Zoetermeer closes for a few days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. This means that the shelter animals will not receive visits from future owners during that period. Do you see yourself watching Christmas movies on the couch with your new animal friend? Then visit the animal shelter before Christmas to meet one of the treasures below.
Linette Eveleens from Animal Hospital and Ambulance Service The Hague explains why the placement stop is in place: “The stop is in place every year in the interest of the animals. Usually from December 23 to January 3. These days are quite stressful for people and animals. At home there are busy Christmas dinners and on New Year’s Eve the fireworks have a major impact on the animals. We wish the animals happy days and want to ensure peace and quiet.”
