Reduction in VAT on food
It is an extension until the end of June 2024 of the VAT reduction on food that came into force on January 1 and which It was to expire on December 31. It is, specifically, the elimination of 4% VAT which applies to all staple foods (bread, flour, milk, cheese, eggs, fruits, vegetables, legumes, potatoes, cereals) and reduces oil and pasta from 10% to 5%.
