Johaug will no longer go to the Olympics.
Therese Johaug, 36, is in her plan to end this season. He is no longer seen at the Milano-Cortina Olympics next winter.
The Norwegian confirmed the matter after the final trip of the World Cup. The value race ended with a 50 -kilometer free bronze.
– That decision does not change to anything. I’m going to quit. I’m so glad I decided to come back, but it’s time to put the whistles in the bag, Johaug said.
Johaug’s career will culminate in the Holmenkollen World Cup competition next weekend.
– I compete with Holmenkollen and look forward to getting to stop at my home track.
Frida Karlsson was the strongest in Sunday’s 50km race. Silver went to Johaug’s earthworm Heidi Weng.
– I tried to fight a gold medal today, but I wasn’t good enough. After the race, it felt like it was good to stop now. It feels nice, Johaug said.
