“There was silence on the other end of the line. Trump joked and asked if they were still there”: US demands Muslim countries strengthen ties with Israel

US President Donald Trump has demanded that leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain strengthen ties with Israel once a peace deal is reached with Iran. That happened this weekend during a conference call. It didn’t go quite as expected.
