There was a lack of performers at the Finnish festival – Now the organizer is speaking

No fewer than eight artists were eliminated from the festival’s program. The festival director organizing the event commented to Iltalehte that the changes were intended to ensure that the event could be organized at all. Kokkola’s wine festival announced on Thursday that no fewer than eight performers planned for this year will be left out of the program and instead of the previously planned two performance stages, only one stage will be used. “Production-economic reasons” were given in the press release as the basis for condensing the program onto one stage. With the change, domestic names Anna Puu, Tommi Läntinen, Juha Tapio, Osmo Ikonen, Klamydia, Kuningasidea and Esme will be removed from the list of performers, as well as the German Mr. President, known for the Coco Jamboo hit. Eliminating eight performers significantly affects the program, as there are only 14 remaining performers. The international attraction of the event is the British duo Hurts, and domestic names such as Samu Haber, Portion Boys, The 69 Eyes and Alma will perform. The festival will take place at the Kokkola event park on the 28th and 29th. July.
