Chateau Meiland is on the rise downwards and Martien Meiland’s promise to stop when the one million viewers are no longer tapped, suddenly seems to be withdrawn. Even with delayed viewing, they are now well below that limit, and critics say that has to do with the fact that the current season is extremely long and very boring.

Increasing criticism

According to Bridget Maasland, the Meilandjes are currently too much on television, viewing figures connoisseurs Tina Nijkamp and Joost Maiburg argue that the current season of Chateau Meiland is much too boring and monotonous, and Evert Santegoeds agrees. RTL Boulevard even opened the broadcast two weeks ago with the news about their viewing figure fall.

Tina said in that particular Boulevard broadcast: “What makes this season very boring is that it is about that bed & breakfast Code Rosé for a very long time. We also miss Chateau Meiland, I think side characterslike we had that housekeeper, Nadège.”

Max left

Maxime Meiland now reacts in front of the camera RTL Boulevard resigned to the declining viewing figures. “I think everyone scores less now with that warm weather. And looked at delay, ehhh… What do you call that? Postponed viewing. That is going very well, so, no, well, fine… No, girl, no man overboard.”

Then Boulevard starts criticizing Tina. Maxime then: “It’s our life and it’s going the way it is, so we’re not going to change it because people want something different. No, then I think very often: then you don’t look, do you? Yes, hahaha.”

Ah, it turns out that Maxime is still on the same page as the TV viewer…
