FC Bayern will be handed the championship trophy after the last home game of the season against VfB Stuttgart on May 8th. This was announced by the German Football League (DFL) on Saturday. The ceremony on Matchday 33 will be carried out by DFL Managing Director Donata Hopfen.
“Ten German championships in a row – this unique record and the title they deserved again this year underline the outstanding work of FC Bayern,” said Hopfen in a DFL statement.
The Munich team of coach Julian Nagelsmann had secured the title early by beating Borussia Dortmund 3-1. For the German record champions it is the tenth championship in a row and the 32nd overall.
