For me, the “Wulle” is a real treat for the palate in Moabit. The restaurant in my neighborhood, with the small terrace and view of the Spree, spans the culinary spectrum from hearty and hearty to lightly Mediterranean.

Even vegetarians don’t leave the table hungry. But I’m less interested in that, I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel (14 euros).

The order came to the table quickly and plate-sized. The golden-yellow breading threw those typical bubbles that make the schnitzel even more fun. The fries are crispy and plentiful. Then a sip of Maisel’s pale wheat beer (0.5 liters 4 euros). Palate, what more do you want.

A quick look to the other side of the table. My friend Detlef was busy with 180 grams of beef tartare (14 euros), drank a Rollberg red (0.5 liters 4.60 euros), seemed happy. Look to the right. My wife enjoyed her Ceasars salad with grilled halloumi (9.50 euros) and sucked on her rhubarb spritzer (0.33 liters for 3 euros).

Yes, it was tasty again. Compliments to this unexcited, bourgeois but somehow smart neighborhood kitchen. You feel cared for. That goes for drinks and food, for the ambience, for the friendliness of the staff.
