The world’s first liliger was shown in the Primorsky Safari Park

Seaside Safari Park since 2019 has been a shelter for a liliger named Blag. The fate of this royal handsome man is extraordinary: even the fact that he was born is already a miracle in itself. Liligr is a hybrid of a ligress and a lion. When trying to crossbreed, females either cannot become pregnant (90 percent of cases), or give birth to dead cubs (10 percent of cases).

Blag is the first ligr in the world. He was born six months earlier than Kiara from the Novosibirsk Zoo, which is officially considered the first liligr.

Thus, the liliger is the rarest animal. It was named Good in honor of the city Blagoveshchensk, the regional center of the Amur region.

Blag lived in a small cage, but now a separate park has been allocated for him. To move the beast to a new place, they put him to sleep for a while. When the liliger woke up, he set out to explore new territory.

Seaside Safari Park has shown how a predator settles in a new place. Now it can be viewed without bars, over a large area.
