Another 222,000 chicks have been culled to prevent the spread of bird flu

Bird flu has been diagnosed in broilers in Blija, Friesland. It would be a highly contagious variant of the virus. To prevent further spread, about 122,000 broilers are being culled at two poultry farms as a precaution, reports the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).
