In the Australian Open, the first grand slam tennis tournament of the season, Kazakh Elena Rybakina became the opponent of Belarusian racket Aryna Sabalenka in the final of women’s singles.
Kazakh Elena Rybakina and American Jessica Pegula faced each other in the women’s singles semi-final of the tournament in Melbourne.
In women’s singles, 2023 Australian Open finalist Rybakina, the 5th seed, reached the final by beating the 6th seed Pegula 2-0 with sets of 6-3, 7-6.
Kazakh tennis player Rybakina will face Belarusian tennis player Sabalenka in the final on Saturday, January 31.
In the other semi-final match played today, world number 1 Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka defeated Ukrainian Elina Svitolina 2-0 with sets of 6-2 and 6-3 and reached the final.
