The Winter Olympic Games return to Italy for the Milan Cortina edition, which will take place from Friday 6 to Sunday 22 February in the 13 venues chosen by the organizing committee. In total there will be 116 titles up for grabs, 7 more than in the Beijing 2022 edition: 54 for men, 50 for women and 12 in mixed competitions. But does Italy have any chance of improving on the spoils achieved in the last edition? Let’s discover the odds of the medal table for the Milan Cortina Olympics on the blackboards of the main betting sites.

MILAN CORTINA OLYMPIC MEDALS MEDALS

Italy closed the last expedition to the Winter Games (Beijing 2022) with a total of 17 medals: 2 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze. The objective – considering the ‘home’ edition – is obviously to improve the spoils: in total the Azzurri won 142 medals in the Winter Olympics (42 gold, 43 silver and 56 bronze). The record belongs to the Lillehammer 1994 edition, when our athletes won 20 medals with 7 golds.

According to the bookies, Italy does not start in the front row in the race for the Olympic medal table: first place for the Azzurri is in fact up for grabs at 13 on Goldbet and Planetwin365 and 10 on StarVegas and Vincitu.

THE FAVORITES

There is always the front row Norwaywhich leads the overall medal table of the Winter Games with 406 podiums (148 gold, 134 silver and 124 bronze): odds that oscillate between 1.50 and 1.65 for the Scandinavian national team, which precedes the Germany (4.50-5.00), the United States (6.00-6.50) and the Canada (7.00-7.50). Italy is therefore estimated at a potential fifth place, but will have to play its cards with the Swisson the board between 3pm and 4pm.
