These are the key dates of LaLiga F, the Copa de la Reina and the UEFA Women’s Champions League

The start of the F League must wait after learning that there was no agreement with the unions

After a historic year at all levels for women’s football, culminating in the conquest of the World Cup by the Spanish team, the upcoming season has aroused many expectations. In the coming weeks, the main competitions of the 2023/2024 season will kick off.

The start of the F League, a competition in which FC Barcelona defends the title, is currently unknown. Its kick-off was scheduled for this weekend (September 9-10), but the League and the unions have not yet reached an agreement, so the dispute over the first two days is in serious danger. This could have a direct impact on the end of it, scheduled for June 16, and the stoppages, scheduled for December 17 and January 7.

The Queen’s Cup, won by Atlético de Madrid, will begin on September 13 with the dispute of the first round. This new edition presents significant changes compared to last season, in which a Final Four was implemented. This format will be suppressed to return to a more traditional one, with single-match qualifiers except for the semifinals. The final is scheduled for Saturday May 18.

The Champions League, a competition in which the Catalans also defend the title, will be the first to start. The preliminary qualifiers, divided into two rounds, will begin tomorrow. Round 1 will be held from September 6 to 9while Round two will be held on October 10/11 (first leg) and October 18/19 (return).

Once the 16 participants have been defined, the group stage of the Champions League will begin on November 14/15. The quarterfinals will be played between March 19/20 (first leg) and March 27/28 (second leg), while the semifinals are scheduled for April 20/21 (first leg) and April 27/28 . The grand final, which will be hosted in San Mamés, has yet to specify the exact day, which will be May 24, 25 or 26.
