The Helsinki District Court has been sentenced by actress-director Paavo Westerberg, 52, for aggravated drunk driving.
The punishment is 50 days of conditional imprisonment, along with daily fines.
Westerberg suffered from the wheel last April on Rauhankatu in Kruununhaka, Helsinki. His blood alcohol content after driving was 1.73 ounces.
Driving into intoxicated in the heart of Helsinki was likely to endanger the safety of another. Westerberg admitted that he was guilty of aggravated drunk driving.
A total of 30 daily fines for Westerberg’s revenue for a total of EUR 1,140. In addition, he must reimburse the state a crime victim fee of EUR 80 and € 107 for substance abuse costs.
The judgment is not final.
Westerberg is a well -known Finnish actress, director and screenwriter. He is remembered as an actor for, among other things, television series Wolf dog roo and Rose time.
As a screenwriter he has won the Jussi Award for the films Evil country and White town. He has directed numerous plays that have been performed at the Helsinki City Theater and the National Theater.
This fall, Westerberg’s guidance and agreed Shakespeare classic will be presented at the Tampere Theater Romeo and Julia.
