Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things continued on Friday with the release of half of the series ’fourth production season. The remaining episodes will be released on July 1st. The fourth period was expected to last for about three years as the corona pandemic delayed the filming of the series.
The episodes have now received a mixed reception from fans of the series. In particular, the opening period has been perceived to be considerably more graphic than the periods of previous periods. Among other things, the episode features scenes of torture and violence against children.
On Friday, it was reported that Netflix was also taking into account the violence of the first episode itself. Netflix added a last-minute warning to the episode over a recent school shootout in Texas.
– We filmed Stranger Things a year ago. But with the recent tragic school shootout, viewers may find the opening scene disruptive. We are deeply saddened by this blatant violence and our hearts are with every family that loves their loved ones, the warning states.
