The Army of USA has put 2,000 soldiers on alert facing a possible deployment in response to the possible escalation of the conflict between Israel and the Islamist group Hamas in Gaza, the Pentagon announced Tuesday.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has placed personnel and a number of units with rapid deployment capabilities “on high alert through an order of preparation“, the Pentagon reported in a statement, in order to “respond quickly to the evolution of the security environment in Middle East“.
