Boston has announced that it has added rookie forward Hemming to its lineup for the 2025-26 season.

Hemming has been skating for the last few seasons in the Kiekko-Espoo organization in different age groups. In the 2024–25 season, Hemming played 31 matches in the U18 team, where he collected 63 power points (35+28).
He has also played for the U20 team in 18 regular season matches (2+8).
Unclear situation
Hemming’s unclear situation began in the summer, when his camp canceled the contract with Kiekko-Espoo so that the youngster could move to play in the Canadian junior league OHL.
However, Hemming’s former club Kiekko-Espoo did not accept the club transfer and did not agree to agree on the matter. Despite the breaking of the contract, the player’s rights were still with Kiekko-Espo.
Hemming was moving to the BCHL, a league not affiliated with the IIHF, in pursuit of playing time. However, he would have faced harsh sanctions under the IIHF rules.
