State Department: US briefed Ukraine on Russia’s response to security guarantees

The United States has informed Ukraine of what will be contained in its written response to Russia’s proposals for security guarantees, declared State Department spokesman Ned Price at the briefing.

According to Price, the United States not only informed Ukraine about what will be in this document, but also gave it a preliminary version, and also requested the opinion of Kiev and included it in the document.

“So there will be no surprises for NATO, our European allies and Ukraine,” he promised.

Price added that Washington has not yet given the document to Moscow: “As soon as it is sent, we will inform you.”
