Seinäjoki’s Solar Sound festival has been canceled from summer 2026.
The reason is weak ticket sales. The festival will inform about it on their Facebook pages.
– The decision was not easy or pleasant for us. We wanted to believe until the end that ticket sales would continue to rise, but now we are at the point where the decision simply had to be made. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and waited for the summer with us, the update says.
Those who bought the ticket will be contacted and the money returned.

The Solar Sound festival was supposed to be held in Seinäjoki on the 12th–13th. June. It is a city festival of urban and pop music without age limits.
Among others, the performers of the festival had been confirmed CostPortion Boys, Water god, Delay and Michael Gabriel.

In February, the festival announced that it would launch a new VIP ticket aimed at young people alongside its previous ticket types. The purpose was to limit customers between the ages of 14 and 17 to their own VIP area and to offer other benefits to underage visitors.
Solar Sound was organized for the first time in 2013. In previous years, the festival has been organized in July–August, now the date of the event was brought forward to June.
