Patrik Bartosak published strong indications of his return to the ranks of the Lahti Pelicans.

The 30-year-old Czech keeper, carrying the heavy coat of a flamboyant player on his shoulders, was fired from the club he represented, Mountfield HK, earlier in December.

Bartosak was reported to have caused a traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol. After this, Bartosak fled his company. The club made its own decisions about this and terminated the player’s contract.

Bartosak may return to a familiar address in Finland. Bartosak, who played for the Pelicans from 2020 to 2023, published a picture on his Instagram account on Monday evening, in which he poses in a Pelicans shirt.

– Monday vibes, Bartosak writes on his photo.

The Pelicans have a point guard position open Jussi Olkinuoran after moving to Switzerland.

In addition, Bartosak posted a picture of his child in the landscape, which looks mistakenly like Finland, in the Stories section of his Instagram account. The Blink182 band’s song “This is home”, Finnish for “tämä on koti” is playing as background music for the picture.

In addition, Bartosak has liked the Pelicans’ social media posts regarding Olkinuora’s departure and tomorrow’s game day.

From womb to womb

Bartosak, who spoke openly about his mental health problems, has made headlines for his non-gaming achievements before.

In 2015, the goalkeeper was reported to have strangled and threatened his girlfriend. In the summer of last year, Bartosak was reported to have attacked his father.

Back in the summer, Bartosak assured that he had changed.

– I will return to the rink as an adult. My priorities are different than before. My children and my wife are healthy, we are happy in our home, Bartosak said at the time.

Bartosak played in last spring’s finals for the bay club, when the Pelicans won silver.
