The fight between Phil Collins and his ex-wife Orianne Cevey is entering the next round: In a court filing on Monday (November 9, 2020), according to the Celebrity news platform “TMZ” It was reported that Collins did not take good care of his hygiene between 2019 and 2020 – and smelled bad.
“His stench was unbearable (…),” said the 46-year-old Swiss woman. “He was also no longer able to have sex.” The Swiss woman also said that her ex-husband had injured himself several times during their relationship. “He kept falling and sustaining head injuries,” Cevey explained. “He was treated in the hospital under an alias.”
Phil Collins suspects blackmail
Now Phil Collins has responded to his ex-wife’s allegations with legal documents in which he calls his ex-wife a “liar.” In the documents obtained by TMZ, the musician describes her statements as “a litany of demonstrably false, immaterial, outrageous, scandalous and bizarre allegations that have nothing to do with the legal claims in this case.”
He also described her statements about his mental health as “deliberately sensationalist and/or false claims (…) in order to extort money from him.” According to the 69-year-old musician, their statements are either lies or gross exaggerations. He backed this up with the fact that he is currently preparing for the big reunion tour with Genesis.
House is a stumbling block
The War of the Roses began with a separation of Collins and Cevey after a second attempt at a relationship in 2016. The couple, who have two sons together, lived together in Collins’ beach house in Miami Beach – until the Swiss woman secretly married the 31-year-old entrepreneur Thomas Bates in Las Vegas in July 2020.
Cevey then refused to move out of the house, at which point Collins responded, according to the report in “People” took legal action against her and obtained a lawsuit. He accuses her of taking possession of the property and of “hiring armed security guards” to “patrol the property with obviously displayed firearms.”
Cevey’s lawyer responded to the lawsuit by saying that her only motivation was to stay in the house until a fair settlement was reached – so she stuck to the story that Collins promised her half of the house when she moved in.
