Short trips to Ibiza and Monaco before the season finale brought Bayern trouble. Will that still have unexpected consequences?
FC Bayern is the focus of the criticism after the latest short trips of some stars. While the team was supposed to prepare for the crucial season games, several players made a spontaneous trip to Ibiza. Particularly explosive: Leroy Sané also treated himself to a short trip to Monaco. Both trips took place at TSG Hoffenheim the week before the season finale on Saturday, for which it is still about relegation. This caused resentment among fans and experts.
The situation is heading because the Bayern bosses are increasingly irritated. Sports board member Max Eberl is massively criticized: he had initially banned the Ibiza trip and was later allowed. Trainer Vincent Kompany is also under pressure because he spoke the discussion about the Ibiza excursion as an exaggeration and sufficient preparation time. Both also apparently didn’t know anything about Sané’s Monaco trip.
