The European Handball Championship runs from January 13th to 30th, 2022 in Hungary and Slovakia. A total of 24 teams take part. The schedule and all results at a glance.

This year the men’s handball championship will take place in two countries: Hungary and Slovakia. The preliminary round matches will be played in Veszprém, Szeged and Debrecen (Hungary) as well as Košice and Bratislava (Slovakia). The main rounds will be played in Bratislava and Budapest.

When will Germany play at the European Handball Championship 2022?

Germany had made it into the main round as group winners in the preliminary round with three wins in three games. There, however, the DHB team lost to Spain, Norway and Sweden; only against Russia did the German handball players manage a narrow victory. That wasn’t enough to get into the final round.
