The return of Mattia Binotto: he joins TEXA to develop the E-Powertrain division

The former Cavallino team principal joins TEXA: he will coordinate the design, production and supply of components related to the electrification of high-performance sports cars at the Treviso company

Mattia Binotto gets back on track in the automotive world. TEXA SpA announced today that theformer Ferrari team principal joins the Board of Directors of the Monastier di Treviso company founded by Bruno Vianello in 1992 and led by him to hold international leadership in the sector of diagnostics for cars, motorbikes and trucks. Binotto has been entrusted with the strategic coordination of the ambitious E-Powertrain division. Mattia Binotto thus becomes managing director of TEXA, alongside Bruno Vianello himself, President and CEO, Eugenio Razelli, Vice President, and Massimo Varaschin, Director. The objective is to make the new e-Powertrain division a global point of reference for the design, production and supply of new automotive components linked to the world of vehicle electrification such as engines, inverters, power units and related software and complete axles , intended for high-performance sports cars.

Binotto commented on the new role as follows: “Beyond the competitive experience that I have always had in my life, I was attracted to TEXA by the strategic audacity of its project to build Italian excellence characterized by the most advanced technologies of the new mobility. TEXA intends to establish itself as the reference technological standard on a global level. And this thanks to the mobilization of huge investment resources and the attraction of the best talents to be concentrated in Italy, i.e. where there is a formidable motoring culture to be preserved, renewed and now also to be relaunched”.

TEXA was founded in 1992 and is a leader in the design, industrialization and construction of diagnostic instruments, remote diagnosis devices, stations for the maintenance of A/C systems, exhaust gas analyzers, dedicated to cars, motorcycles, trucks, agricultural vehicles and marine engines. The last frontier is the production of sophisticated Powertrain systems for electric-powered vehicles. There are currently around 1000 employees: a young workforce, including over 200 engineers and specialists engaged in Research and Development.
