The game show “The price is hot” (RTL) ran for eight years and became an absolute TV cult. The show was discontinued in 1997 for cost reasons. A revival attempt in 2017 was abandoned again a year later. As BILD learned on SONNTAG, RTL is now planning another comeback.
The concrete plans: For the time being, three shows of 90 minutes each are planned. Also on board is the original moderator of “The price is hot”: Harry Wijnvoord (72). Between 1989 and 1997 he moderated a total of 1873 episodes together with Walter Freiwald (+65).
As early as February 3, RTL is reviving the comedy show “7 days, 7 heads”, followed a little later by “The price is hot”.
It remains to be seen whether, in addition to the price, the ratings will also be hot again this time …
