On Monday, March 17th, Anna R. announced on the Instagram channel that the singer and songwriter died. The Berliner was 55 years old. A cause of death was not mentioned. Peter Plate, with which she founded the Rockpop duo Rosenstolz, on Instagram let his grief run free and wrote, among other things, as siblings. Now the police have sealed off the apartment of the deceased.

More about Anna R. and Rosenstolz
Anna R. was actually called Andrea Neuenhofen, born Rosenbaum. She was born on December 25, 1969 in East Berlin. At first it was difficult for her to gain a foothold in the music world of the GDR, which is why she trained as a chemical laboratory. At the same time, she worked as a musical dealer and took singing lessons.
It was only with Rosenstolz and Peter Plate properly started from 1991. The duo shaped with its mixture of chanson, rock and pop, sung in German, decades. Together they brought out twelve records, five of which could climb to the top of the charts. A biography of her band, “Love me, if you can, take me, take me completely” came out in 1998. In 2012 they announced a break indefinitely.
