The personalities have shaped fashion events in 2023

A total of 71 names made it onto the annual list of “Most Stylish People of 2023” by the US magazine “New York Times”. The list is based on the media company’s own search engine, which identifies these people. The ranking of the list is not fixed and can therefore be interpreted by readers as they wish. FashionUnited has highlighted the personalities who have particularly influenced fashion this year.

Michelle Yeoh received an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2023 for her role in the film Everything Everywhere All At Once. She accepted the award in a grass green dress from Balenciaga, a brand for which she serves as a brand ambassador. Along with the fashion house’s recent show in LA, this was proof that the issue of “Balenciagate” has now been forgotten in the United States.

During her massive Renaissance World Tour, Beyonce celebrated haute couture, starting with a collection she designed with Olivier Rousteing for Balmain. She also wore a graphic Alexander McQueen jumpsuit embellished with Swarovski crystals, a silver Courrèges bodysuit, a show-stopping Loewe catsuit and a monumental silver Coperni cape, which is featured on the cover of her latest album, in which she appears on a riding a mirrored horse.

This year was the year in which the world saw what was to come for Louis Vuitton following the death of former creative director Virgil Abloh. He was replaced by rapper, musician and fashion muse Pharrell Williams, who organized two major shows for the French fashion brand, including his debut at Paris’ Pont Neuf with an impressive guest list of A-list stars.
