Ccontinuous search for raw materials, highly technological processes to bring out new sides of already known olfactory notes, increasingly unisex olfactory pyramids. The trends perfumes for 2025 speak above all to the new generationswhich are increasingly approaching the world of artistic and niche perfumery. Here are the trends that await us in the coming months.

The perfume trends of 2025 start from Gen Z and Millennials

The niche is the new luxury. If once upon a time there were few people who knew and were interested in this segment of perfumery, today the sector has more and more enthusiasts. The credit goes to social media, in particular TikTokwhere more and more young people try, spray, test, compare. To the point of decreeing sold put phenomena, or “consecrating” some fragrances as unmissable, worth spending on.

The world of perfumery is therefore changing, and it is above all the younger ones who set new trends: raised in overabundance, they look for quality and originality in the fragrance and character.

Artistic perfumery is “viral”

But let’s analyze the phenomenon better. Last summer the New York Times was about teenagers’ obsession with artistic perfumery, now it’s the Financial Times to tell how, in times of crisis, the sale of perfumes is skyrocketing thanks to young people.

According to Cosmetica Italia, this market in Italy is worth 1,375.3 million euros, and globally 64.4 billion dollars. Not only that, in our country the sale of women’s fragrances increased by 12.7% in the last year, and men’s by 11.9%. Globally they grew by 12.2% and 10.8% respectively.

«Artistic perfumery by 2025 will move towards new olfactory frontiers, combining tradition and innovation to satisfy an increasingly demanding and growing audience, particularly among the generation Z, which explores what’s new in the world of niche perfumery through social channels such as TikTok” he explains Valentino Di Liello, General Manager of Campomarzioma 70. The result? The creations are increasingly interesting as well as trends, including great returns and new interpretations.

Unlike lime and green fragrances, all notes are among the perfume trends of the new year spicy-oriental: «They evoke the scents of distant worlds with milky accords that give the creations more roundness and softness» explains the expert. For a new vision of oriental-spicy perfumery.

5. Green minimalism

Another essential feature of the new creations is minimalism.
