The opponent apologized to Johanna Matintalo

Canadian Katherine Stewart-Jones has agreed in between Johanna Matintalo with.

In January, skiers crashed in Val Die Fiemen during the Tour de Skin combination competition.

Matintalo cried in the finish and said that Stewart-Jones didn’t even apologize to him, even though he was guilty of the crash.

The Canadian skier says he regretted the situation for Matintalo the next day.

– We have talked and apologized. It was a normal race situation and I was not meant to run into him. I only had more speed than John and I tried to dodge her in the indoor season. Then he came to the same line and we collided, explains Stewart-Jones.

– I understand it was frustrating for him. I would never like to be in that situation. It’s terrible to ruin another’s race in that way.

Stewart-Jones describes that he is now in good relationship with a Finn.

Struck one’s head

Stewart-Jones arrived in the World Cup in a difficult situation. He suffered a concussion only one month before the culmination of the season.

– I hit my head on a shallow ceiling in Cogna. In my hotel room, there was a sloping ceiling with a wooden beard at the height of the eyes. I didn’t notice it at all, he remembers.

The skier had to take a month’s competition.

– It was tough. I didn’t know what kind of condition I would be here.

Stewart-Jones suffered from severe symptoms.

– I had headaches and fatigue and I was sensitive to light and sounds. Since the concussion, I have had shoulder and neck problems that I have tried to solve.

Canada finished ninth in Friday’s women’s message. Stewart-Jones’ personal balance in Trondheim has a 27th place in the traditional ten and 47th place in Skiathlon.
