Norwegian twins Marcus and Martin have won the Swedish Melodifestivalen. Duo’s winning song Unforgettable overwhelmingly beat its competitors with a score of 177 points, while the second-placed Medina Que sera got 104 points.

Marcus and Martinus are making history, because it is the first time that a foreign performer wins Melodifestivalen. The twins were visibly moved by the victory and shed tears.

– I have never felt like this before. Many thanks to Sweden for voting for us, Martinus said to SVT after the victory.

– We have heard that it (winning) is difficult because we are Norwegians. It’s wonderful that we get this kind of support from Sweden, Marcus continues.

– Sweden has a special place in our hearts, Martinus adds.

Marcus and Martinus went to the final as clear favorites. Only Loreen has had lower Win Odds in the last 10 years.

As the winners of Melodifestivalen, Marcus and Martinus will represent Sweden at Eurovision in Malmö in May.
