The candidates were supposed to be announced last week, but the occasion was postponed due to the wildfires in Los Angeles. The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which administers the Oscars, moved the deadline for voting by almost a week.
The 97th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 2. The best actors, films and their makers of 2024 will be awarded at the gala. The gala will be hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien.
The gala can be seen in Finland on the night between Sunday and Monday.
