The NHL reporter was surprised by the Den glider in song at the Nokia Arena

The hockey song familiar to Finns did not open to Columbus’ court reporter.

In the closing set of Saturday’s match between Colorado Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets, the Nokia Arena DJ decided to play a familiar song. Den Glider In – song ignited the Finns to sing together, and this did not go unnoticed by the Blue Jackets’ court reporter By Jeff Svoboda.

– I have no idea which Finnish song they played during the commercial break, but almost everyone stood up, sang and danced. It was pretty cool, says the NHL reporter.

The reply to the journalist’s tweet came very quickly.

The story of the song sung in Swedish was explained to Svoboda. As Finns well know, the song was originally made for Sweden’s possible gold celebrations at the home games in 1995.

The lions “stole” the wisdom of the Finnish people in a memorable way in the Globen final.

– I can’t describe in words how much I love Finns. Beautiful foxing, the editor adds.

The Blue Jackets and Avalanche also have their own songs, which fans can even sing backwards.

Svodoba compared Den Glider In -song to the favorite of Avalanche fans, performed by blink-182 All The Small Things to the song. The song in question is sung at every Avalanche home game. It was also taken care of at the team’s championship party.
