The New York Rangers scored 5–3 in the Pittsburgh Penguins night NHL, bringing the series to 3–3. It was a guest win for Rangers.

The opening goal was scored by Pittsburgh during the first set Jeff Carterwhich was also assisted by a Finn Kasperi Kapanen.

In the second installment, the Rangers shone Mika Zibanejad, who scored two goals in less than two minutes. Pittsburgh Yevgeny Malkin managed to equalize, but the Rangers took over the match sovereignly in the third set.

Towards the end of the third installment, Zibanejad and Chris Kreiderin the collaboration bore fruit to the pattern that the Rangers won the match by clear numbers.

Four wins are required for the second round of the playoffs. The teams will meet next on Sunday.
