The Netherlands faced its second loss tonight at the Baseball Week Haarlem. In the Pim Mulier Stadium, the Orange squad was beaten hard by the United States of America: 10-0
The Netherlands was not a shadow of the team that won against Cuba and Italy in the first two games of the tournament. In the third and fourth innings, the United States managed to score one run. In the sixth inning, there was no size for the baseball superpower and eight runs were scored.
Due to the 10-0 loss, the Netherlands is now joint third in the standings, together with Curaçao. Tomorrow is the last group match of the Netherlands against leader Japan.
