“We have to continue to focus fully on strengthening our armed forces and defense industry. Only in this way do we scare enemies and can we continue to support Ukraine unabated.” Minister Ruben Brekelmans emphasized this today in the Czech Republic. He joined the Dutch state visit there. “And margin” he was in the signing of an agreement between the defense industries of both countries.

The aim of the Agreement (MOU) is to promote information exchange and cooperation. Because, according to Brekelmans, the defense industry is crucial in supporting the joint defense. By working together, the companies use each other’s expertise. This means that innovative solutions can be developed for complex challenges.

“Our common goal is to create a strong and large-scale defense industry. Let’s continue to innovate, push boundaries and collaborate for a safer future for our countries, Ukraine and our allies,” the minister called on.

Ammunition

The Netherlands and the Czech Republic have been working closely together for some time to ensure that Ukraine can continue to defend itself against Russian aggression. For example, the Netherlands was one of the first to use a Czech initiative. This consisted of purchasing, producing or refurbishing equipment for Ukraine. Both countries and Denmark also ensured a structural delivery of ammunition to Ukraine.
