The National have released Eucalyptus, the third single from their forthcoming album First Two Pages of Frankenstein. The album will be out on April 28th via 4AD. The music video for the song, directed by Chris Sgroi, was filmed in Long Pond, New York, where the band recorded their album, and also features the quintet in the studio.

“‘Eucalyptus’ is about a couple who split up their joint possessions after a breakup – ‘What do we do with the spring water that comes to us, what happens to all the plants?’ It’s about all the little things you have to worry about when you’ve bonded with someone that much,” singer Matt Berninger said in a statement. Previously, “Tropic Morning News” appeared in January, and on February 23, “New Order T-Shirt”, which also comes in the form of a shirt merch gives.

The record follows 2019’s I Am Easy to Find. With their 9th studio album, the band will be touring North America and Europe starting May 18th. On September 30th they will give a concert in Berlin and on October 1st they will play in Munich. For the shows there is still tickets.
