Now, he accepts the sentence that Erika’s family requests for him and resignationas well as the family of the victim, to their right to summon witnesses and experts so that they would have to testify during the trial.

The defendant admits that he planned Erika’s crime and assumes the prosecution’s entire account of events. She lived on the first floor of the building and had noticed the neighbor in her room, so she “studied her times of entry and exit from her house” and decided to attack her at noon, when the child returned from school. Postolache “managed to drag her into his house with the help of the backpack straps that the girl was wearing on her back, laden with school books. He locked the door and took her to her bathroom, where he left her lying on the floor to go to her bedroom.
