A French film to be seen on TV tonight Together (2019) is about two women in their seventies. They have lived for years in the same crab, in opposite apartments, and are secretly in a love relationship.
Madeleine and Nina are used to moving between apartments and sharing the small moments of everyday life with each other. To outsiders, they are just neighbors.
Nina is more outspoken, free-spirited, independent and tired of secrecy. Even though Madeleine is now a widow, she still has trouble accepting herself and telling the truth to her adult children.
However, Madeleine promises to reveal everything so that the couple can sell their apartment and spend the rest of their lives together in Rome. However, he backs out of his promise, which makes Nina on the verge of rage.
Soon, however, Madeleine’s daughter Anne begins to find out about the secret relationship that has lasted forever, and has to face a situation that arouses conflicting emotions.
Together is not only a love story, it’s also a story about how choices can get harder over time. In the touching film, the lovers also discover that time is not forever when Madeleine suffers a severe stroke.
The drama film has been described as intimate, captivating, sad and also exciting at times.

Together was France’s nominee for Best International Film at the Oscars in 2019. Meneghetti also won the César Award for Best Debut for his film.
