★★★1/2 Perhaps the reader does not know that Niki Caro from New Zealand is a specialist in this class of traditional action products starring women (she is the director of the once famous Whale Rider). I mean, she knows the scheme, here of an assassin who goes back into action to save a daughter she’s never met. That is to say, on the one hand it is a more or less regulation action thriller, where López shows an unusual ability to act with her whole body, and on the other a look at what motherhood means and how motherhood is built. All made with the mold and pasteurization that corresponds to this type of show, but the thing works and manages to keep us entertained. Professional cinema in the strictest sense of the term.
