After Amsterdam Pirates eliminated reigning national champion HCAW in the semi-finals, the Holland Series went in all directions this year. The underdog from Amsterdam brutally took a 2-0 lead against the favorite Neptunus. Between lots of rain showers, the Rotterdam team turned that deficit into a 3-2 lead. How nice is it when you grab the title at the end of the ride? “No one expected this. Neither did we, but yes, nothing is impossible,” said Pirates player Jorrit Penseel.
