With very scarce exceptions, Western politicians and those who supply ideas are still often convinced that, despite certain cultural particularities that deserve the utmost respect, all the men and women of the world want the same things: to live in peace, freedom to choose their own authorities and enjoy the material advantages that are already routine in the countries that are considered developed.
It is for this reason that many continue to refuse to take phenomena as militant Islamism that is based on values that are radically oblivious. Proud of their amplitude of views and convinced that, basically, the differences between the various social modalities are merely superficial and could be even more reduced through dialogues, they resist believing that there are millions of people who are willing to die for reasons that in the opinion of most western Palestine or, in some places in Europe, imprisoning “Islamophobes” that burn in public editions of the Qur’an.
Before the massacre perpetrated on October 7, 2023 by the jihadists of Hamas and Gazati civilians, including some UN employees, many Israeli shared the conviction that it would be an unforgivable mistake to assume that the chill Faz of the Earth. Since then, in Israel the overwhelming majority agrees that the “hawks” were right when they warned that their enemies were not exaggerating. The furious self -criticism of Westerners who, from the left, have denounced the crimes against humanity perpetrated through the centuries of European peoples and their transatlantic relatives and, from the right, have regretted the decline of societies that have abandoned their religious and cultural traditions has also made a great contribution. Thanks to both groups, the persuaded that their own cult, Islam, is the only one that possesses everything necessary for man to live in harmony with the universe, have an abundance of intellectual weapons they use to indoctrinate those who are already believers without therefore wanting to participate in conflicts and seduce power.
