The statement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny about the alleged losses of Russian aircraft and armored vehicles is a complete lie, according to a message from the Ministry of Defense received by RBC.
According to the agency, “Ukrainian servicemen are leaving their positions, throwing their weapons.” The positions of the units that have laid down their arms are not subjected to strikes, the ministry clarified.
The Ministry of Defense also reiterated that they do not strike at the cities of Ukraine, nothing threatens the civilian population of the country, high-precision weapons are used only for strikes at military infrastructure facilities.
The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported to RBC that the military personnel of the border service of Ukraine “do not offer any resistance to Russian units”, the air defense systems of the Ukrainian armed forces have been suppressed, and the military infrastructure of the air bases of the Ukrainian armed forces has been put out of action.
