Minister Kajsa Ollongren has given an initial response to the events in Ukraine. Russian troops invaded the country early this morning. There have already been several explosions. A state of emergency has been declared in Ukraine.

Ollongren: “Despite our repeated calls for diplomacy and de-escalation, Russia has launched the attack on Ukraine. This is an illegal act of aggression with serious consequences, first and foremost for the Ukrainian population. We are in close contact with our NATO allies and our partners in the EU.”
