The runner’s result at the Paris Olympics was annulled. Kenyan long-distance runner Benard Kibet Koech, 26, has received a four-year ban for a doping violation, reports the Athletics Integrity Unit of the International Athletics Federation’s anti-doping body. According to the report, it is likely that Kibet is guilty of blood doping. Doubts arose when the blood samples given by Kibet in the summer of 2024 showed a clear deviation compared to previous results. There were significant changes in the biological profile compiled from blood values just at the time of the Paris Olympics.
