Sunborn Live promoter Pietu Sepponen estimate that the situation is a major crisis and disaster for the organizing party. Sepponen has organized, among other things, summer ribbon, gray Rinne and Knotfest.
“It is virtually impossible to be prepared for the situation of this scale, especially since the cause of the fire is not yet known,” he says.
According to Sepponen, Tomorrowland is known for its exceptional investment in the main stage and its decoration.
– The pallet is more unique than the festivals, with dececoats. All thoughts and spiritual support are now in the direction of the organizers. Hope they get some kind of peace in the situation.
He believes that the organizers will do their best to create an impressive replacement solution.
-The same level of staging is certainly not time to build in two days, but I believe that they will still strive for a full-fledged Tomorrowland experience with possible replacement platform solutions.
Not everything can be prepared for
In terms of insurance, Sepponen states that it is difficult to assess what the festival has and how they cover the damage.
– Each event organizer assures his or her own event according to their own criteria. In principle, however, everyone, especially the festivals of this scale, are extensively insured, he says.
In Finland, similar disaster and accident situations are already carefully prepared for during pre -planning and production.
– The aim is to minimize fire -sensitive materials in the festival area, the placement and adequacy of the fire extinguishing equipment are carefully planned, and the performance of the staff in exceptional circumstances is ensured.
In addition, safety is carefully taken into account in the permit documents and in cooperation with the authorities. However, not everything can be prepared.
– Even a detached house that would be completely non -combustible has not been built in this world. However, human factors are always present at the festivals, Sepponen says.
