The Lying Rabbit celebrates its twentieth birthday

Editor-in-chief Jozef Deleu wished to celebrate 20 years of The Lying Rabbit in his hometown of Menen. A lot of people showed up for the poetry party. The courtyard of CC De Steiger was even too small for the many spectators present. The visitors saw an ode by Wouter Deprez and by poets Charles Ducal Lena Plantinga, Peter Verhelst, Miriam Van hee, Piet Gerbrandy and Iduna Paalman. They read their own new poems from the festive April edition of the poetry magazine.

Hundreds of poets from all over the Dutch-speaking region have already contributed to ‘Het Liegend Konijn’, a motley crew of young debutants and old masters. ‘Het Liegend Konijn’ usually publishes new, previously unpublished Dutch-language poems, or as it describes itself: robbed from the nest.
